TIP: If an error message says an error occurred in the Saved Data File, you can usually ignore the message and the problem will be self-correcting. The Saved Data Files cannot be corrected except by restoring them from backup copies.

Cause: There is a non-numeric character in a numeric Database field.
Solution: The message will tell which page of which Database has the problem. Edit the Database to correct the problem. Be sure the field contains only the digits 0-9, and not any decimal points or other characters.
Message: Invalid date
Cause: There is an invalid date in a database field.
Solution: The message will tell which page of which database has the problem. Edit the database to correct the problem. All dates should be in the form mm/dd/yy. Example: 4/21/09 for April 21, 2009 or 12/5/10 for December 5, 2010. Be sure to use only 2 digits for the year. Use only digits 0-9 and / . Don’t use a backslash (\) in the date. Don’t leave any of the 3 numbers blank. The month must be between 1 and 12. The day must be valid for the month.
Message: No ministry assigned
Cause: No ministry was checked in the Personnel Database.
Solution: The message will tell which page of the Personnel Database has the problem. Edit the database to correct the problem.
Message: No times assigned
Cause: No time preferences were checked in the Personnel Database.
Solution: The message will tell which page of the database has the problem. Edit the database to correct the problem.
Message: Invalid Scheduling Code
Cause: An invalid Scheduling Code and/or suffix was typed in the Personnel Database.
Solution: The message will tell which page of the Database has the problem. Edit the database to correct the problem. Scheduling Code must be A, B, C, D, E, or F. Suffix must be +, -, or blank.
Message: Missing or invalid days
Cause: The Day(s) field in the Regular Service Database is blank or has invalid characters in it.
Solution: The message will tell which page of the database has the problem. Edit the database to correct the problem. The Day(s) field can contain only characters 1-7.
Message: Missing date
Cause: The Date Field was left blank in the Special Service Database.
Solution: The message will tell which page of the database has the problem. Edit the database to correct the problem.
Message: Missing Category
Cause: The Category Field was left blank in the Special Service Database.
Solution: The message will tell which page of the database has the problem. Edit the database to correct the problem.
Message: Blank or invalid number in the Formats Database
Cause: One of the numeric fields of the Formats Database could not be recognized as a number.
Solution: The message will tell which page of which database has the problem. Edit the database to correct the problem. Numeric fields in the Formats Database must contain only the characters 0-9 and a decimal point. Negative numbers are not allowed.
Message: Sorry, the database is already full to capacity.
Cause: You tried to add a page to a database file that is full. The capacity of the Special Services Database is 25 pages. The capacity of the Personnel Database is 1024 pages.
Solution: Delete or type over some obsolete pages or divide the Database Set into 2 new Database Sets.
